Dipping the toe into the world of blogging

Well...this is it i guess my first official blog. I have recently decided that my journal keeping skills were not the best so what better substitute than a blog right? I'm hoping this'll mean i'll at least have the highlights written down :p Anyway i guess i'll get on with it! These past few weeks Ive had a fair bit on my mind-probably to do with the fact I moved back to Utah after spending the summer/winter at home. It is so weird being back, my one advantage is i know what to expect this time, or so I thought. It's crazy how much a few months can change people and perspectives which has resulted in an almost completely new ball game. One definite bonus of being back though is sunshine! Is there anything more amazing than a beautiful sunny day? It's almost impossible not to smile when they actually happen :)

Anyway, for the folks back home here's a more ordered series of events of the recent past :p Over the weekend I had to complete a simulation for a class at school. In this simulation I had to spend 48 hours without the use of my left arm so I could gain a small glimpse into the world of someone who has lost their arm for real. It was one of the most challenging assignments I have ever done. I mean think about it. When you've broken your arm and such you can still use your arm (and cast/sling) to help prop things up or even wave. Not being able to use my arm at all was really difficult but definitely a learning experience.

On Saturday I also went up to Smithton with Kayla for a fundraiser for her cousin. It turned out to be a simply beautiful day which meant the day couldn't be anything other than amazing :) after spending some time at this fundraiser, seeing Kayla's family and getting our faces painted we drove into Logan to check out the Temple. I seriously think that the Logan temple is a beautiful building...its pretty much a castle on a hill...very cool :p anywho after Kayla and I got back from Logan we ended up meeting her brothers at their mum's place back up in Salt Lake for food and games. Almost a perfect Saturday...i'm certainly not complaining :)

Kayla and I with our faces painted in Logan :) as for the sling..don't panic it was to help me to remember not to use my arm for the weekend...yay school projects :p

The Logan Temple...aka the castle on the hill :)
